You can still get around in Travemünde even if you have mobility issues or use a wheelchair. Here's some useful information on fully accessible travel by bus, train and car in Travemünde.
Getting around by bus
All buses can be lowered and are, therefore, wheelchair accessible. Ramps also facilitate better access to vehicles. There are controls to request the doors to be opened on the inside and outside of the bus. Attendants are also on hand to provide assistance with getting on and off.
Blind and partially sighted passengers can get special orientation and tactile maps at the ServiceCenter in Lübeck's central bus station and at Gustav-Radbruch-Platz.
