"ÜBERGANGSRAUM am Rathaus"

With the ÜBERGANGSRAUM concept, we aim to address vacant commercial premises, bring new connections between manufacturing, creativity, culture and retail to the city centre, and create new experiences for Lübeck residents and visitors to the Old Town. To achieve this, Lübeck’s economic development agency rents vacant commercial properties in the city centre and makes them available to users with a range of concepts at reduced rates.

The second ÜBERGANGSRAUM brings together a variety of uses. The premises are located in the pedestrian zone close to the Town Hall. The mixed-use concept demonstrates how vacant space above retail premises can be put to use. Activities include a yoga school, German language courses for migrants, a writing and book salon, IT courses for children and young people, acrylic painting workshops and wine courses.
