Your freedom on the water

Stand Up Paddling on the Baltic Sea

What is SUP?

There’s hardly any sport that can be learned as quickly as stand up paddling and that is so much fun. Whether alone, for two or with the whole family: SUP is the ideal opportunity to relax on the water and at the same time to do something for your physical fitness. SUP is also suitable for beginners as the basics can be quickly learned even without much experience of water sports. The only condition is that you must be able to swim.

Do you yearn for freedom and relaxation on the water? Then discover the new trend in sport, stand up paddling (SUP), on your dream holiday in Travemünde. It’s a cross between surfing and canoeing and the perfect alternative if you’re looking for fun and variety on the water in your free time. All you need is a board to stand on, a paddle to propel you forwards and a degree of balance. Paddle out into the Baltic Sea with your board at a leisurely pace and feel the gentle waves and the refreshing sea water as it plays around your feet. Cast your troubles aside and enjoy what makes stand up paddling so unique: freedom on the water.

Living is having sand under your feet and the sound of waves in your ear!

That’s what your life experience tells you!

Safety first on your SUP

Particular care is required when paddling in Travemünde with an offshore wind. The basic rule is: Please always stay near the river bank within the white grid of buoys and keep to the left so as not to enter the congested channel at the Nordermole jetty.
