For the fourth time, the sand sculpture exhibition at the charming Travemünde fishing harbour opens its doors and invites you to an experience for the whole family on an area of about 2,500 square metres. On your "journey around the world", traditional, architectural and cultural highlights from all five continents await you - modelled by Europe's best sand artists from around 14,000 tonnes of special sand. Discover the empires of the Incas, Mayas and Aztecs, the carnival in Rio, scenes from the land of the Pharaohs such as the Valley of the Kings and Sphinxes, and many other works of art. A café with fine food, the small museum all about sand as a resource and the children's world with real sculpture sand offer you a place to linger. Tip: The masterpieces made of thousands of cubic metres of special sand are up to 7 metres high and will be created again this year in a covered hall, regardless of the weather!
