Modern jewelry in a historic manufactury

In the historic timbered house in Kurgartenstr. 17 - only a few steps away from the Vorderreihe and the old fishermen's church - is the store workshop of MareSchmuck, a family-run jewelry manufactory. In this family, the art of jewelry making dates back to the year 1771. Since 2010, the sea and sea jewelry are the focus. Here, most pieces are made from silver, but a selection of artwork uin gold is also available.
Necklaces, rings, stud earrings and bracelets show not only shell, wave and beach relief, but also octopus, walrus, ray and many other sea creatures, which are transformed here in a unique way into wearable jewelry.
The colours of the sea, green and blue, also dominate the coloured glass necklaces. In addition, changing art exhibitions invite you to visit the store.
