Amazing summer at sea!

Cultural Summer Travemünde from 24th June 2021

The cultural summer at the sea is going to be hot! Our artists have been eagerly waiting for the chance to perform live for you on a real stage again, and now this moment has finally come. A unique fireworks of life-acts await you during the event from 24th June until the end of September on the beach stage right at the beach terraces of Travemünde. The programme features open-air concerts, acting and other fine cultural moments that will really heat up the live. Audience after these long months of lockdown and create a cultural heat wave at the beach. Come join us with your feet in the sand! Of course, with keeping a safe distance from others, with check-in via the luca app and in compliance with the current Covid-19 rules. Admission is free!

Wednesday, 14.7.

5 pm • Peter SimonConcert
The well-known singer-songwriter brings a colourful mix of own songs, well-known oldies and modern pop songs as well as Irish and Scottish folk traditionals to the sea.

Thursday, 15.7.

5 pm • Kathleen FreitagBook reading
Born in Berlin, she now lives and works in Hamburg and enthusiastically writes stories for children and adults as a freelance author, as well as two successful novels already.

7.30 pmJörg LornsenConcert
Born in Lübeck the artists brings his poetic and vivid lyrics to life with his passionate, unique smokey-soulful voice.

Friday, 16.7.

5 pm • Sarah MarieConcert
The young musician from Lübeck brings the sounds of the 60s/70s to the beach in Travemünde. Covered evergreens by Simon and Garfunkel, the Beatles and the Moody Blues invite you to sing along. 

Tuesday, 3.8.

5 pm • Bjarne SachtlerConcert
Pop meets poetry - The singer-songwriter from Lübeck shares a lot of emotion between hope and melancholy in his music.

7.30 pmFrollein MotteConcert
The duo invented heart pop: Rocking, German pop with a great sense for the big and small themes that touch people deep inside - if they can listen.

Wednesday, 4.8.

5 pm • ex octopussConcert
Unplugged music in "urban beach style" with lots of guitar, Cajun and two-part singing: The duo invites you to sing along with hits from the 60s to today.

Thursday, 5.8.

5 pm • Eva AlmstädtBook reading
Eva Almstädt lives and works as a freelance author in Hamburg. Her first crime novel "Kalter Grund" ("Cold Ground") became the prelude to the successful series about Lübeck's detective superintendent Pia Korittki.

7.30 pmBinta & Band Concert
The Hamburg singer has been on stage for as long as she can remember. Bright pop-soul floods her concerts with great melodies, stories from her own life and imaginative lyrics.

5 pm • SaxyarpaConcert
Harp and saxophone - this combination surprises everyone. Johannes Köppen and Alberto Sanchez always manage to touch the audience with their music.

Tuesday, 10.8.

5 pm • Igor LandyConcert
Diverse and at home in many musical worlds - that is the sound of the French-born musician. Authentic guitar sounds and a soulful voice make his music unique!

7.30 pmLoredda Jacque Band Concert
The band presents their own Canadian Root & Rock songs, a rousing mixture of rock, blues, funk and country.

With honest, German-language songs, the Hamburg resident by choice plays his way into the hearts of his fans - sometimes romantic, sometimes danceable, sometimes melancholic, sometimes funny.

Klaus E. Spieldenner began writing back then out of "creative boredom" and today inspires others with his exciting crime novels.

7.30 pm• Detlef Söder • Concert
The guitarist, singer-songwriter and music teacher from Lübeck has found his calling - beautiful melodies, groovy rhythms and a soulful voice turn every song into a musical work of art.

Friday, 13.8.

5 pm • Panafrika MusikConcert
Stéphane Zamblé's heart beats palpably in African rhythm and inspires the artist in writing lyrics, composing, arranging and dancing.
